UAE expands Visa On Arrival policy for Indian nationals
UAE expands visa on arrival policy for Indian nationals
Details of the UAE's New Visa-on-arrival rules for Indian nationals
Indian nationals who hold resident permits or Green Cards from six new countries are now eligible for visa-on-arrival entry in the United Arab Emirates. Indian passport holders now have more chances to enter UAE points of entry thanks to the expansion.
This policy was previously in place for Indian nationals with valid documentation from the United States, European Union member states and the United Kingdom.
Indian nationals must fulfill the program's requirements set forth by the UAE, which include a valid passport with at least six months of validity and a valid visa, residency permit or Green Card from one of the designated nations.
If Indian nationals meet these requirements, they will be required to make a payment for the visa fee when they arrive at UAE immigration checkpoints.
For Indian tourists, the UAE has established some visa types such as 4-day visa, 14-day visa, etc., each with a different cost.
Please take note that you need to check carefully the entry requirements or the safest thing is to get a visa before the trip.
Motive behind the initiative
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) of the United Arab Emirates, stated that the decision to issue visas upon arrival to Indian nationals from some countries aligns with the long-term strategic alliance between Abu Dhabi and New Delhi.
The program intends to make travel easier for Indian nationals and give them and their families new opportunities to investigate living, relocating and employment prospects in the United Arab Emirates.
Additionally, the program attracts top international talent and entrepreneurs, further solidifying the UAE's position as a global financial, tourism and economic hub while providing Indians with an opportunity to experience the UAE's world-class tourism, economic landscape and dynamic business environment, according to ICP.
